Spring is for cookies

Happy April! Spring has definitely sprung here in NC.  Trees and flowers are blooming and hubby is sneezing up a storm (poor thing).  I'm not complaining that's for sure--I'm loving this weather and it's got me thinking about my little porch garden.  I'm really not sure if I'm going to try vegetables again this year though. I may just get some pretty flowers and maybe more herbs because it was nice having fresh herbs last year--yummy.  Speaking of yummy goodness, I finished up another of the sweet treats from this pattern set.

 Yummy chocolate chip cookies.

This design may be my favorite so far.  I love the little flowers.  It was fun to stitch.

I played around with some variegated floss on the leaves.  I like the subtle color changes.  I think I've decided to display these on some small canvases with some fun, bright fabric behind it.  I'll have to experiment a little to see if it will work.  If you'd like a reminder of the other sweet treats I've done, check them out here and here.  I'm going to work on the chocolate pudding next.  Plus, I've got my April Dessert of the Month cross stitch to do!  I always look forward to those.

I'm off to enjoy this lovely day.  'Til next time!

Very Pretty! Looking forward to your next one :-). I like variegated floss, specially the Dmc Color Variations. Are you planning to stitch onesies?
I was thinking on starting a couple tomato plants and and herbs but at this point I can barely move around.
Maybe afterwards ;-).

I have actually stitched a few pieces of clothing for the baby--i need to get pics of them to share. I know what you mean about being tired! Most days I just want to sit on the couch and do much of nothing.
