Hi friends! Long time no see! I am off work today for Memorial Day and have a few extra minutes to actually sit and blog a bit! WOW! So I'm popping in to show you this completed cross stitch that I've been working on here and there...a Labyrinth cross stitch.
I love
this movie and all the great characters. This
Wee Little Stitches pattern has all of them. David Bowie is so fantastic and the puppetry is great. It's a wonderful fantasy--they just don't make movies like this anymore. You may remember from a previous post that I'm trying very hard to work through my stash and work with materials I already have on hand. I purchased this pattern over a year ago and finally getting around to stitching it up. The fabric is 14-count aida in oatmeal that I had on hand as well. When finished stitching everything, the lighter colors were blending in with the fabric so I decided to do a little backstitching around some of those areas. I'm glad I did because you can see it so much better...especially Ambrosius the dog.

Fun comparison of Jareth. They even did his eye make-up! |
So another completed piece in the books. I have a couple more weelittlestitches patterns that I'd like to do. I'm stitching when I can. I even joined in on a
Craftster swap! I haven't done one of those in years, so I'm very excited about it!
P.S. I think the pattern would be even better with the little worm. ; ) Maybe I should buy
this pattern.

This piece is so great, I love Labyrinth! I wanted to be just like Sarah when I was young, dress like her, have her hair, the whole nine, she's lovely. I think the back stitching around the lighter shapes was a great idea, he pops much better that way, good eye!
I love seeing your stitches!
I'm excited about the new Craftster swap, too, partner!
