Halloween Countdown: Halloween Town and a Witch

Hiya friends!  I hope you've been enjoying the Halloween Craft countdown.  I haven’t been able to post daily, but hey—that’s OK. Today I’m sharing two more finished cross stitch pieces...just in time for Halloween!   First up...I have finished “Halloween Town” by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery

This pattern was really fun to work on.  The little characters and bats and owls are just too cute and I loved the colors they chose and am so glad I chose to use the hand-dyed floss and fabric. The fabric is 28 count “Haunted” from Picture This Plus.

I’m not sure how I want to finish this one off yet.  I’m not think I want to just frame it and thinking a pillow may be super cute.  So we’ll see.  It may not get put together until next Halloween.  ;)

Next up, is a witch ornament.

This was a quick stitch that I made for a my pal Tara.  It’s really nice to do small projects in between working on larger pieces.  It makes me feel like I actually finished something from time to time!

I worked on this for a couple of evenings including making it into an ornament, so not bad at all.  The pattern is by The Prairie Schooler and is in the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Halloween edition.  I changed the colors a bit to use what I had on hand.  It was fun to work on!  I really want to make more ornaments so I can get a larger Halloween tree going.  I've seen such pretty ones on Pinterest!

Well friends!  Tomorrow is the big day!

I love these both so much, but you know I love the witch the best, because she was made just for me! ME! I love the colors and the velvet ribbon hanger.

It's so nice to see your Hallowe'en Town finish. The colours look great on that fabric. I have stalled slightly on mine but will finish it before NEXT Hallowe'en!
